The cycle of one’s borrowed life begins on being born and ends with death. Yes, it’s a final destination no one could ever avoid. People said there’s nothing to worry about death for we shall all experience this. The very reason why we feel different towards death is the cause of dying itself, for we will all be uncertain how our life would come to end. Some died because of old age which is the most acceptable cause for everyone. Some died due to sickness while the most tragic and hurtful causes would be accidents or massacres.
I’ve always hear it from the elders that they have this wish to die while sleeping so they won’t feel the pain of struggling for life when it is finally about to end. Some old couples, I can hear them wishing to die together so each of them won’t worry anymore of who’s leaving first and who is left behind.
Though some believe that eternity awaits for us in that paradise called Heaven where everything is good, death worries people because it’s the separation of one person to the living world. Leaving all the loved ones and worldly possessions behind. It’s a destination we can’t even tell exactly when we are bound to leave or where exactly would the last trip station be.
Beyond the confusion and fear, death is to remind us that one day we will be gone and how people would remember us depends on the life we had. Are we worth remembering or are we ought to be forgotten? Can we make those people behind miss us or our leaving makes them happier? That if we can consider it a fulfilling life, not a wasted life. We will all have the last drop of our sand timer. In God’s time, for He is our Maker and is rightful to take back this life.
